Annual Safety Fair
Each year, on the first Saturday of June, the Stoughton Police Department and the Stoughton Fire Department join together to bring the residents an unmatched safety fair.
The safety fair highlights all of the different equipment used by both departments and explains our missions in full.
In past years the safety fair has been host to Fire Engines from the SFD, Police Cruisers from the SPD, K-9 demonstrations from the SPD, ATF, and Department of Correction, demonstrations of the jaws of life,
Helicopter flyovers and landing from the State Police, Police Horses from the State Police, the Presidential Limousine from the Secret Service, and a vehicle roll over simulator, with many, many more exhibits to come in the future!

Did you know that approximately 90% of all child safety seats are incorrectly installed? The Stoughton Police care about your kids and as such has five child safety seat technicians on staff.
Each technician has been to a 40 hour course regarding the proper installation of these crucial pieces of safety equipment. Each year, at the safety fair, a free child safety seat inspection checkpoint is offered.
Can't make the fair? We've got you covered, just by contacting the community policing office or by calling 781-344-2424 you can arrange for an appointment for the bi-weekly inspections at the Stoughton Police Station.
Also at the fair we offer complimentary fingerprinting for your little ones. No parent wants to think of their child being lost, but that shouldn't stop you from taking every preparatory precaution. Fingerprint your kids today!

In policing a dog can truly be a cop's best friend. Many a bad guy are more afraid of these fearsome pups than the police themselves!
K-9 officers are highly skilled, as are their dogs, and to watch them in action can truly be breathtaking.
